Alicia's Christmas Project Weekend December 6 & 7

The elves have been mighty busy planning some super projects for this year's Christmas Craft Weekend.  I have had a bit too much fun finding and making crafts.  Please join me for Christmas gift making and giving fun.  I've decided to provide two days for crafting fun!  Please forward to your friends as it makes it all the more fun!

 

When:  Friday, December 6 from 10 am - 3 pm & Saturday, December 7 from 1 pm - 10 pm 

Place:  My House.  Please bring a snack to share.

RSVP and Prepay:  Thursday, November 21

PREVIEW:  Wednesday, November 20 from 1 - 6 pm.  Please come see the projects in person as they look so much more vibrant and beautiful.  A picture can be deceiving of the project's size as well. 

 

Join the cookie exchange!  Make and bring 2 dozen cookies and you will have your gift plates all complete.  We will have the cookie exchange at 7 pm on Saturday, December 7.

Here is how it works...All the supplies for the projects will be provided unless otherwise stated.  Instructions will be given to complete the projects.

 

 

O Holy Night NATIVITY

Shadow Box ($15).  Size 13 x 13.  Please indicate gold, silver, green, red, or blue (as pictured) scrapbook paper for  background.  The nativity is placed on the paper.  The stars and O Holy Night are placed on the glass to create dimension.  It is difficult to see in the picture.  The vinyl is pictured in black.  Estimated time to complete: 20 minutes

 

O Holy Night Tile ($10) includes 12 x 12 tile.  Design as pictured in the shadow box.  Indicate vinyl color.  Estimated time to complete: 10 minutes

 

Larger Glass Blocks ($11) for nativity, glass block, and ribbon.   You may choose from red, gold or blue ribbon to match your decor.  You may purchase a 25 ct set of lights if you wish to have the lights inside the blocks.  I have seen the lights at Hobby Lobby.  I will have available a Krylon spray to frost the glass.  Estimated time to complete: 20 minutes

 

 

Smaller Glass Blocks ($9) for lettering, glass block and ribbon.  3 options include GLORY with strike through to the newborn king; MERRY with strike through Christmas; HAPPY with strike through Holidays.  Red and green vinyl would be super cute for the last 2 ideas.  Estimated time to complete: 20 minutes

 

 

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN

Santa's Comin' ($18) for all supplies.  (Size 14" x 20") Santa design is in white with burgandy vinyl for numbers and letters.  A cute gift magnet counts down the days to Christmas.  Estimated time to complete: 2 hours.

 

Christmas Countdown ($18) for vinyl design, scrapbook paper, sheet metal, wood, and bead board.  (Size 14" x 14")  The board is painted aqua, but can be changed to any other color.  The projected is pictured in white, turquoise and burgandy vinyl.  The magnet sings Jingle Bells.  Estimated time to complete: 2 hours.

WOOD LETTER BLOCKS

 

Believe Blocks ($26) for wood, scrapbook paper, paint, and accessories.  The reindeer stands 8" high while the completed word spans 20".  You will pick out paper to decorate as you wish.  Estimated time to complete: 4 hours.

 

JOY Blocks ($14)  for wood, vinyl, ornament, and paint.  The J stands 8" tall and the complete set spans 11".  If you prefer a different colored ornament please indicate.  Also I had this brillant idea.  You can dress up the joy like the believe blocks where the J will have a Santa's hat, a red ornament will have the silver belt like in the "B", and the Y can be cut with reindeer antlers and dressed as a reindeer.  Please indicate if would like it different other than shown.  Estimated time to complete: 2 hours.

 

GIFT PLATES

 

Each plate is $6.  Please indicate plate color and design. The small green plate measures 8".  Estimated time to complete: 10 minutes.

 

 

CHRISTMAS SIGNS

 

Rudolf Sign ($14) for wood, accessories, paint, vinyl.  (Size 12" x 22") The project is pictured in white, aqua, and burgandy vinyl.  It can be changed to green if desired.  Please indicate if there are any changes.  Estimated time to complete: 2 hours.

 

 

The Best Gift is a Family ($10) for paint, wood, vinyl, paper, and ribbon.  (Size is 10" x 8").  Isn't this the cutest present you've ever seen?  Estimated time to complete: 90 minutes.

 

 

Stashing Through The Snow ($8)  for paint, wood, vinyl, paper, ribbon and jingle bell.  (Size 9" x 6.5")  Estimated time to complete: 1 hour

 

 

Have YoursELF a Merry Christmas with ELF Shoe ($14) for wood, paper, paint, accessories.  The paper on sign is a metallic silver with glitter.  The shoe is painted and decorated with glittery paper and Christmas pom poms.  (Size:  Sign is 12 x 9; Elf shoe is 10 x 6)  Estimated time to complete: 2 hours.

 

 

North Pole Frontdoor Sign ($20)  for all supplies. (Size 3 feet tall, sign is 12" x 8"). Estimated time to complete: 4 hours.

 

  BRRR...It's Cold Outside! ($12)  (Size 30" x 12").  This sign can be kept up all winter.  It is made with pallet wood and is heavily distressed, included stencil painted snowflakes and swirls with a touch of gems to add some sparkle.  The letters are in navy vinyl.  Estimated time to complete: 2 hours.

JOY Pallet Sign ($12) (12" x 30") This sign is great inside or out.  This sign uses the vinyl as a stencil but all pieces are painted onto the board.  Estimated time to complete: 2 hours.

OTHER CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS

 

Snow/ Noel Blocks ($5)  (Size 4 x 4).  Vinyl is pictured in navy and cream. All Supplies included.  Estimated time to complete: 1 hour

 

My Stache Candy Dish ($6)  All supplies included.  If you would like to provide your own jars it is $2 for vinyl and ribbon.  Jar is 6" tall and 4 " wide.  Estimated time to complete: 10 minutes

It is that time of year for a super craft day.  I love the fall season and I want to celebrate it by making some fall crafts.  If you are new to this kind of thing...I cut out and provide all of the supplies for the projects unless otherwise noted.  You come on October 25 and I will give instruction on how to complete the crafts.    I am happy to make up a kit for you if October 25 doesn't work out in your schedule.

We will be meeting at my house from 1 pm - 10 pm for some super crafting fun.  I will need an RSVP and a list of which crafts you would like to complete by October 15.  I know that doesn't leave you much time to decide...You are welcome to stop by my house to see the crafts in person, you may do so on October 15th from 1 pm - 6 pm. They are cute pictured, but "super cute" in person.

Fall Crafts 2013

Haunted House:  ($12.00) 

This project measures 10 x 14.  It is cut from MDF.  The background is painted cream, and using a vinyl stencil painted the background with orange.  Please indicate the last name you would like personalized on your sign.  It could also say Welcome to our Haunted House if you would prefer not to personalize it.  The vinyl is silver and black.  (Estimated time, 1-2 hours)

 FHE Grateful Craft:  ($3 for vinyl only)  

The thought here is to include in a family night a conversation on gratitude.  You may hand write, dry erase marker or print all the things in life that your family is grateful for.  The items are then on display as a great reminder the blessing we have in our lives.  Bring your own 8 x 10 frame. Pictured in black vinyl letters and a burgandy vinyl heart.  (Estimated time 5 minutes)

 An Attitude of Gratitude Plate: ($6 plate included and will vary in style), saying on a 12 x 12 Tile ($10 tile included).  (Estimate time to complete 10 minutes.)

 Fall Word Puzzle:  ($16)  

Measures 13 x 16 on MDF Wood.  Painted with an artsy background...not hard...paint the base color and then using a waded up plastic bag adding interest and texture with two more separate colors.  The vinyl is in burgandy.  Please indicate if you want different colors or I will cut it as it is pictured.  (Estimated time to complete is 2 hours.)

 

 

 {Blocks That Say A Lot} ($15 for all supplies)  

These blocks measure 4 x 4 and include 7 blocks with 4 letters on each blocks.  They spell out 15 different says to use throughout the year.  I have painted each block a different color and mod podged scrapbook paper on 5 sides.  Each block features a different font as well.  You will receive a printout with a list of the sayings.  Please indicate your family established date.  I have used Ivory, black, white, silver, brown vinyl on these blocks.  (estimated time, 2-3 hours.)

Set of 16 Seasonal Blocks:  ($22 for all supplies) 

There are 16 - 2 inch blocks that spell out over 70 sayings for all holidays.  My blocks are pictured in brick red with ivory vinyl.  The wood blocks are ordered and do not require a lot of sanding.  There are 6 vinyl picture decals included to add creativity in display...a heart, tree, star, pumpkin, flower, and snowflake.  You will receive a print out with all the many sayings.  Please indicate paint and vinyl color.  (Estimate time 2-3 hours.)  If you would like to cover with paper, please bring with you 3 sheets of scrapbook paper of your choice.  I will provide the Mod Podge.

An example of sayings are:  BE (Heart) MY VALENTINE, I LOVE MY CATS, WELCOME FRIENDS, THANKSGIVING (Pumpkin), HAPPY HOLIDAYS,  HOPPY EASTER, THINK SPRING, I LOVE AMERICA (flag), etc.

Countdown to Halloween Faux Pallet Sign.   ($25) 18" x 32"

This sign is very large to sit on the porch with a mini chalkboard to countdown the days to Halloween.  (Estimated Time 3-4 Hours)

 Decorated Pumpkins ($4.00 each) 

Please indicate if you would like black or white.  If you would like to make one that I have pictured, please let me know.  I will also have other supplies such as gems, ribbon, vinyl, sequins, for your own unique pumpkins.  (Each pumpkin will take 20 - 30 minutes.

Glass Pan Etching ($3 for a 9 x 13 pan) ($2 for small pans, indicate size)

You will never loose a casserole pan again.  Etch the bottom with your name.  Please bring your own glass pan.  I will supply the vinyl and etching cream.

Spider Countdown 10 Days To Halloween:  ($12)  (13" x 16") 

Use this cute sign to count 10 days until Halloween.  The Spider moves down each day to Halloween. (Estimated time to complete 2 hours)

 

SPRING CRAFT DAY 2013

Here are the spring crafts I have created for the Spring Craft day!

 

Spring Banner ($12)

Create a happy spring banner with ribbon, paint, vinyl lettering, burlap, and posies.  All supplies included.

Hoppy Easter Ceramic Egg ($8)

There will be random colors of eggs.  The egg is approximately 7 inches tall.  All supplies included.

 An "Egg"celent button picture ($5.50)

Bring your own 5 x 7 frame. (buttons, thread, adhesive and burlap included.) I purchased this frame at Hobby Lobby.  You can also reuse a frame you have at home.  I will be creating other button works of art in future craft days to switch out for other seasons in the year.  There will be random colored buttons to create with.

 Keep Calm and Hop On ($8.50)

Create this project with a canvas, burlap, paint (using vinyl as a stencil, no free-hand painting), and buttons.  This measures 8 x 10.  All supplies included.

Keep Calm and Hunt On ($8.50)

Create this project with a canvas, scrapbook paper (different papers will be available),
vinyl lettering, and sparkles.  This measures 8 x 10.  All supplies included.

Three Decorated Eggs on Candlesticks ($27.50)

Decorate 3 pastel eggs with vinyl decals, sparkles, and ric rac.  Display them on 3 cream painted candlesticks.  All Supplies included.

 Celebrate Spring Frame 
($7 vinyl and sparkles)

Purchase your own frame.  The frame measures 14 x 11.  You can purchase one or bring one from home.  The pink is brighter than the picture shows.  

Stand Ye in Holy Places Canvas ($10)

The finished wall hanging measures 16 x 20.  We will paint a canvas with black paint and then mod podge the picture to the canvas.  This is the 2013 theme for the youth.  All supplies included.

 

 

Jesus our Friend 13 x 13 Tile ($9.60)

Vinyl and Tile included.

You can choose other sayings:  FAMILY together forever, FAMILY is forever, or any other short saying you would prefer.

There is a picture clip, so you can update your family photo as the children grow.  All Supplies included.

More details to come.  Pallet Style.  Using the vinyl stencil technique.  I used black paint and the wood grain showing through for the letters.  Thank you Layla for suggesting this project.  Here is the saying.  All supplies for this project included.

Here is the finished project.  The wood shown through really is cool, but as I was putting on the vinyl letters I thought the vinyl letters look great on the wood its self, or the project could be made by painting the background and then applying the contrasting vinyl lettering over the top to simply.  I noticed as I was picking each letter off,  after using the vinyl as a stencil, is a little time consuming.  So there you go...3 different ways to the pallet technique.
